The Isleta Casino and Resort can make a fine place to play and stay when visiting the Albuquerque area. This is especially true if you are into the hip and trendy atmosphere that Hard Rock resorts provide or if you want to have the opportunity to tee it up on one of the Southwest's best golf courses. There are no less than 27 holes to play at the Isleta Eagle Golf Club, and these holes are separated into three different 9-hole layouts. Well-manicured fairways and greens are what this course is all about, and the surrounding desert terrain is complemented by a few lakes and the Rio Grande River. After a round or more of golf, you can treat yourself to a rejuvenating session at the luxurious, full-service spa. Guests can also relax at the attractive pool area. The pool is both an indoor and outdoor pool, and just steps from it is a guest hot tub. Enticing seating options are also part of the mix at the pool area, and guests can enjoy convenient towel service or secure a private pool locker.
Seven meeting rooms and a collection of ballrooms are also among the Isleta Casino and Resort facilities, and should you be interested in the accommodations, they include a variety of room and suite categories. Regardless of which guest unit you choose to book, it will come with some very inviting amenities, such as a large flat-screen TV, an alarm clock that you can plug an iPod into, premium bedding, and a deep soaking tub in the sparkling bathroom. While the Isleta Hard Rock Casino Hotel is hard to pass on, those who prefer camping can always consider spending a night or more at the RV park and campground. The sites at this full-service campground are close to all the wonderful Isleta Hard Rock facilities, especially the resort's two fishing lakes. These lakes offer trout fishing in the fall and winter, and catfish fishing in the spring and summer.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Pueblo of Isleta is dropping its affiliation with the Hard Rock brand at its popular casino and resort south of Albuquerque and will return to the Isleta Casino brand, a resort executive announced Wednesday.
The resort has operated under the moniker Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Albuquerque for almost three years. It previously had been known as the Isleta Casino & Resort.
“The Pueblo has decided it is best to return to its own brand to identify it in this market and with its loyal customers,” according to a news release from CEO Pamela Gallegos. “The resort had operated under the Isleta Casino brand for over 20 years and the Pueblo believes this has a better connection in its history and culture.”
Isleta believes the property’s future direction “should be directed to its more traditional values,” she said.
Calls requesting comment from Gallegos and Hard Rock’s corporate office in Orlando were not immediately returned.
The name change will not affect any current staff or operations, according to the news release.
“In fact, this change should create more growth and job opportunities for tribal members and other members of the community, as well as keeping additional money in the local economy,” Gallegos said.
